Details

Timothy Marjoribanks graduated with a PhD (1997) and MA (1994), both in Sociology, from Harvard University, after earning undergraduate Honours degrees in Law (1991) and Arts, majoring in Politics (1990), from the University of Adelaide. In 1991 he was admitted as a practitioner of the South Australian Supreme Court, and in 1997 was employed as a lecturer at the University of Melbourne in the Sociology Program within the Politics Department.

From 2003 to 2006 he was joint chief investigator with Andrew T. Kenyon on the project "Defamation Law in Context: Australian and US News Production Practices and Public Debate".
