Description: This collection of records consists of copies of data from the Commonwealth Employment Service files recording the clients for whom a diagnosis of epilepsy was entered during 1959. The index cards record the client's name, address, personal details, occupation, nature of employment, employment history, qualifications, factors affecting placement, general action, referrals, C.E.S. interviewer and date. The information was ultimately used in a study on epilepsy and community attitudes conducted by the Social Studies Department at the University of Melbourne.
